WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Light Duty pontoon trailers have a smaller frame (3”) and 12” tires.
Heavy Duty pontoon trailers have a large (4”) frame and 13” tires.

Larger tires and a bigger frame give you a stronger pontoon trailer.
13” tires run cooler on long hauls on hot days than 12” tires.

Small (14’-18’) lightweight (under #1500) pontoon boats will go down the road just fine on the Light Duty trailers . But, if you have a 18’-20’ pontoon boat with a larger engine (40 HP +) the Heavy Duty pontoon trailer, for just a few dollars more, will make a better trailer for most applications.
